To further deepen university-enterprise cooperation and promote the integration of industry and education, 45 students from the Class of 2023 majoring in Wood Science and Engineering at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University visited Heqichang for a four-day production internship from September 7 to 10. The program was designed to help students connect professional knowledge gained in the classroom with real-world production practices.

Heqichang has maintained a long-standing partnership with Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University in industry, education, and research. The two sides have established a solid foundation for cooperation in research projects and the commercialization of technological achievements. This production internship represents another practical step toward deepening university-enterprise cooperation and developing internship and training programs for university students. It also reflects Heqichang's commitment to fulfilling its social responsibilities and supporting the development of professional talent.

During the internship, the students first visited the company's exhibition hall to learn about Heqichang's development history, corporate culture, key products, market presence, and overall capabilities. Through process and product videos, they also gained an initial understanding of the production process and applications of bamboo-wood composite container flooring.

Before entering the production workshops, the company provided three-level safety training and hazard identification training, helping the students understand potential safety risks in the production environment, equipment operation precautions, and personal protection requirements, laying a solid safety foundation for the internship.

Accompanied by Heqichang's technical and production staff, the students then entered the production workshops to gain a close-up understanding of the manufacturing process of bamboo-wood composite container flooring. They focused on key processes including adhesive impregnation, drying, assembly, hot pressing, edge sawing, and routing. Through on-site observation and interaction, the students gained a deeper understanding of how bamboo and wood materials are processed into finished products, building a more direct connection between professional knowledge and actual production.

The internship not only provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand experience in an enterprise, learn about the industry, and understand production processes, but also further strengthened communication and cooperation between Heqichang and Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University.

From the classroom to the workshop, and from theory to practice, the two sides are using talent development as a bridge to bring professional education closer to industry needs, while enabling students to deepen their understanding of their field and broaden their practical perspectives through hands-on experience in a real production environment.

Looking ahead, Heqichang will continue to leverage its industrial and practical strengths, deepen cooperation with universities in talent development, scientific research, and technology commercialization, and explore new models of university-enterprise collaboration. Through these efforts, the company aims to cultivate more professional talent and inject fresh energy into the high-quality development of the bamboo and wood industry.
